ECS is seeking a Transport Planner to create efficient routes and schedules within our ECS software application, delivering cost-effective transport solutions that satisfy customers.

In this role you will optimize orders, perform pre-planning, handle administrative tasks, and communicate with colleagues and partners to ensure smooth operations. Candidates should have a Bachelors degree, strong planning skills, fluent Dutch and English, and broad knowledge of Europe.

As a Transport Planner, you play a crucial role in creating efficient routes and schedules within our ECS software application. Join our team and contribute to delivering optimal, cost-effective transport solutions that keep our customers satisfied!

Your Role & Responsibilities

• You optimize transport orders by improving combinations and routing plans, always taking customer requirements into account.
• You ensure cost-conscious pre-planning to maximize efficiency.
• Managing remarks and resolving issues is an ongoing part of your role, which you accurately process in the software application.
• You handle administrative tasks with precision and efficiency.
• You maintain smooth, goal-oriented, and professional communication with team members, other departments, and external partners.

Working Hours

• Alternating schedule: Week 1: 08:00 AM - 04:06 PM Week 2: 10:00 AM - 06:06 PM
• Willingness to perform on-call duties in the future (evenings and weekends on a rotating basis with colleagues).

Profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience.
• Strong planning and organizational skills, enabling you to maintain oversight and work efficiently.
• Resilient under pressure and able to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience or knowledge of the transport and logistics sector is an advantage.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Extensive geographical knowledge of Europe is essential.
• You are committed to delivering high-quality results.
