Job summary

Glacier is seeking an experienced People Business Partner – Operations to partner with our Site Directors and operational leadership teams, translating business priorities into effective people plans and acting as a trusted adviser on leadership, organisational and people decisions.

You will support workforce planning, employee relations, engagement, and leadership capability, strengthening management accountability across our operational teams while driving a One Glacier culture across sites.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as an HR Business Partner or People Business Partner in operational environments.
• Experience partnering with senior operational leaders across manufacturing or logistics.
• Strong expertise in employee relations, change management and workforce planning.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Site Directors and Operations leadership to translate business priorities into people plans.
• Act as trusted adviser on leadership, organisational design and people decisions.

In this role, you will help strengthen leadership capability, shape our workforce for the future and support our sites through change, while contributing to an engaged and high-performing culture.Your roleAs People Business Partner – Operations, you will be a trusted partner to our Site Directors and operational leadership teams. You will combine strategic thinking with a pragmatic, hands-on approach, ensuring that people considerations are embedded in operational decision-making.Your focus will be on business partnering, leadership capability, workforce planning, organisational change, employee relations and engagement. You will work closely with our People Operations team and Centres of Excellence, who provide support in areas such as HR administration, payroll, recruitment coordination and employee lifecycle processes.What will you do?Partner with our operational leadersBuild strong partnerships with Site Directors and Operations leadership teams.Translate business priorities into effective people plans.Act as a trusted adviser and sparring partner on leadership, organisational and people decisions.Support organisational effectiveness, workforce productivity and capability building.Develop leadership capabilityCoach leaders on performance management, employee relations, engagement, organisational change and leadership effectiveness.Strengthen management capability and accountability across our operational teams.Help leaders build engaged and high-performing teams.Shape our future workforcePartner with leaders on workforce planning, organisational design and future capability requirements.Support talent reviews, succession planning and development plans for key operational talent.Identify and address risks related to skills shortages, retention and workforce sustainability.Lead the people side of changeTake the lead on the people aspects of organisational change, including restructures, consultations, role redesign and integration activities.Ensure changes are implemented in line with local legislation and Glacier principles.Work closely with Legal, Operations and People Operations where needed.Support employee relations, culture and engagementProvide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters.Help leaders manage people-related risks while finding pragmatic business solutions.Drive engagement, inclusion and leadership effectiveness across operational teams.Support initiatives that strengthen our One Glacier culture.Use people data and insights to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.What are we looking for?You are an experienced HR or People professional who understands the realities of an operational environment.
