Job summary

Degroof Petercam is seeking an Operational Risk Intern to join the Control Execution & Monitoring team. You will support the execution and continuous improvement of internal controls, reporting to the Operational Risk Manager, and collaborate with risk officers across the organization.

The role involves handling predefined controls, documenting outcomes, collecting evidence for audits, and potentially shaping new control designs to strengthen risk management.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Business Engineering, Economics or Finance).
• Strong ownership and ability to work independently.
• Comfortable applying structured processes and internal guidelines.
• Capable of contributing to implementation of new controls and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; fluent in English and either French or Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Execute predefined operational risk controls based on working instructions.
• Document control execution and outcomes in relevant systems.
• Collect and archive control evidence for audit and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in drafting and updating working instructions.
