Degroof Petercam is seeking a Risk and Control Management Intern to immerse in risk initiatives across Risk, Compliance and Operations. You’ll develop analytical skills, learn risk practices, and contribute to adherence to risk control standards in a dynamic environment.

As a Master’s student in a related field, you’ll engage in data collection, testing, and reporting while collaborating with senior professionals to drive process improvements. English plus French or Dutch is required.

Qualificações

• Pursuing a Master’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
• Specialization or coursework in risk management is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and French or Dutch.

Context

As a Risk and Control Management Intern, you will immerse yourself in critical risk management initiatives that shape our organization’s landscape. Collaborate with experienced professionals across Risk, Compliance, and Operations departments, contributing to projects that influence our strategic decisions. You’ll develop your analytical skills, gain in-depth knowledge of risk management practices, and play a key role in ensuring our organization’s adherence to risk control standards. Your Position

• Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA): Assist in conducting RCSA to identify and assess risks within various departments.
• Control Testing: Perform control testing to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Report Writing: Prepare summary documents, reports, and presentations for internal teams and management.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Risk, Compliance, and Operations departments to ensure a common understanding of risk issues.
• Data Management: Collect and analyze data to support risk assessments and control testing.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize existing risk management processes and propose innovative solutions.
• Communication: Present analyses and findings clearly to team members and stakeholders.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of risk assessment activities, decisions, and control testing results.
• Training Participation: Engage in professional development to deepen understanding of risk management practices.

Educational Background

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Specialization or coursework in risk management is highly preferred.

• Solid understanding of risk management principles and practices.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
