Kurv Industrial is seeking an Environmental Officer for a large-scale infrastructure project in and around Antwerp. The role is to act as the central environmental expert, mitigate risks, ensure legal compliance and promote a culture of sustainability across the project team.

The Environmental Officer will operate on-site within a matrix organization and report to the Environmental Manager, collaborating with site, QHSES and management teams to drive proactive environmental management and

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental management, coordination, HSE or sustainability in construction or industrial projects.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation, permits, risk management and compliance processes.
• Ability to work in a matrix organization with operational teams.
• Strong reporting, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proactive mindset with focus on sustainability and continuous improvement.
• Experience on large infrastructure projects is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Act as the operational environmental expert on site.
• Monitor environmental compliance with legal, permit and project requirements.
• Identify environmental risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Support proactive environmental management and reactive environmental care.
• Promote sustainable working practices across the project team.
• Report environmental performance, incidents, actions and risks to the Environmental Manager.
