Kurv Industrial is seeking an Environmental Officer for a large-scale infrastructure project in and around Antwerp. The role is to act as the central environmental expert, mitigate risks, ensure legal compliance and promote a culture of sustainability across the project team.

• Experience in environmental management, coordination, HSE or sustainability in construction or industrial projects.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation, permits, risk management and compliance processes.
• Ability to work in a matrix organization with operational teams.
• Strong reporting, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proactive mindset with focus on sustainability and continuous improvement.
• Experience on large infrastructure projects is an asset.

In the context of a large-scale, multi-year infrastructure project in and around Antwerp, we are looking for an Environmental Officer. The Environmental Officer serves as the central operational environmental expert. The primary mission is to mitigate risks, ensure legal compliance, and actively promote a culture of sustainability. The Environmental Officer functions locally as an integral team member and reports within a matrix structure. The role combines two essential pillars: proactive environmental management and reactive environmental care. Operating within a matrix organization, the Environmental Officer reports directly to the Environmental Manager.

Responsibilities

• Act as the operational environmental expert on site.
• Monitor environmental compliance with legal, permit, and project requirements.
• Identify environmental risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Support proactive environmental management and reactive environmental care.
