BESIX is seeking an on-site Construction Engineer for the Oosterweel Link project in Antwerp. You will lead in-house teams and supervise subcontractors, ensuring execution plans are followed and safety, quality and environmental standards are met on a dynamic urban construction site.

The role emphasizes English as the sole working language in the project zone, strong collaboration, and proactive problem solving to drive productivity and timely project delivery within a multinational context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering; 3–5 years of construction experience.
• Strong technical and practical insight with a sense of ownership and administrative discipline.
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Fluent in English (mandatory).
• Collaborative mindset with a proactive, solution-driven approach.

Responsabilités

• Owns on‑site management of in‑house teams and subcontractors; acts as a key contact on site.
• Coordinates technical preparation of works and site activities in line with execution plans.
• Ensures safety, quality and environmental standards are respected by all stakeholders.
• Supports short‑term planning (daily/weekly); identifies optimization opportunities and monitors productivity.
• Reviews and validates invoice proposals from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Reports to the Site Manager / Project Manager and supports overall site coordination.
