Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an HR Advisor to serve as the on-site HR partner for Mechelen and Antwerp, delivering consistent people processes to a blue-collar workforce and coaching managers across the sites.

Based primarily in Mechelen, you will collaborate with operations, the HR Administrator, HR Business Partner and the Belgium HR Team, reporting to the HR Manager. The role includes site initiatives, training and regular contact with unions, with some work-from-home days.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in HR, Psychology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years in HR Advisor or HRBP role.
• Experience supporting a blue-collar workforce; logistics experience is a plus.
• Experience with employee relations and union interactions.
• Strong communication, coaching and influencing skills.
• Structured, proactive approach with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site HR partner for Mechelen and maintain regular contact with the Antwerp site.
• Advise, coach and support managers on employee relations, performance, recruitment, onboarding, training, attendance and policy application.
• Drive absenteeism follow-up and return-to-work meetings.
• Strengthen onboarding and training for agency workers and GXO colleagues.
• Build relationships with local union representatives and support transparent consultation.
• Deliver site initiatives such as the Respect campaign, ACE training and annual review.
• Use core HR systems including Proton, Visma and the Atos workforce-planning pilot.
