Job summary

Envista Mechelen, Belgium is seeking a senior software engineer to join the .NET team. You will design and implement server applications, ensure code quality, and contribute to the technical roadmap with Azure and REST API expertise.

You will work onsite 4 days a week, collaborating on CosmosDB, React interfaces, and scalable solutions for DTX Studio and the global software development center. You mentor peers, perform code reviews, and support 3rd level debugging while embracing CI/CD practices

Qualifications

• Master degree in Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in developing high quality software solutions with maintainability and scalability.
• Proficient in C#, .NET and RESTful API design.
• Experience with CosmosDB and Azure Functions; Azure DevOps is a plus.
• Experience with React is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Mechelen-based with 4x/week onsite requirement.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to technical design and implementation of server applications, including coding, code reviews and unit testing.
• Monitor and improve code quality through reviews, unit tests, CI and coding guidelines.
• Share Azure expertise with the team and contribute to the technical roadmap.
• Detect, diagnose and resolve issues; educate the team and provide solutions.

For our.NET team, we are looking for a senior software engineer

• You take part in the technical design and implementation of server applications. This includes writing code, performing code review, writing and executing unit testing amongst others.
• You monitor and control the code quality. This includes ensuring correct code review, decent unit tests, continuous integration and follow-up of coding guidelines amongst others.
• As an Azure expert, you share your knowledge with other team members. You follow-up on trends and provide input for the technical roadmap.
• You detect, treat and solve issues, communicate and educate solution to the team.
• Assist in 3rdLevel support cases and support with software testing

Job Requirements

• Master degree in Software Engineering, or equivalent through experience.
• Minimum 7 years relevant experience in development of high quality software solutions with clear focus on maintainability and scalability.
• Good knowledge of relevant programming languages and supporting frameworks (C#, .NET, ..)
• Experience with CosmosDB
• Experience on Restful web services and API design.
• Good knowledge on Azure Functions and architecture. Experience with Azure Devops is an asset.
• Experience with React is an asset
• Open and good communicator
• You have a strong analytical mindset and are able to think together with us.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)

This role is based in Mechelen, with 4x/week onsite requirement.
