Role Overview
We are looking for a Medior PLC & Automation Engineer to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, optimisation, and technical development of industrial installations.
You will work hands‑on with Siemens PLC systems, SCADA, automation, instrumentation, and process control, while contributing to technical projects and improvements within a highly regulated industrial environment.
The role requires a practical, problem‑solving mindset and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a technically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and follow up on complex technical and maintenance activities.
- Perform and coordinate major maintenance tasks.
- Support and execute projects within the automation and instrumentation domain.
- Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve technical faults, alarms, and process disturbances.
- Identify potential issues and implement solutions to prevent recurring failures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, technical documentation, and logbooks.
- Create and update technical drawings, P&IDs, electrical schematics, and process control documentation.
- Translate functional requirements into technical analyses and solutions.
- Design and implement PLC controls, installation modifications, and automation solutions.
- Select the required materials and components for technical modifications.
- Program interfaces connecting process installations with the corporate network.
- Set up and manage automation networks and industrial communication interfaces.
- Participate in internal and external project teams and technical meetings.
- Provide technical and operational instructions to internal and external personnel.
- Train colleagues on modifications and improvements to installations.
- Follow up on technical works and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or graduate degree in a technical field, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Several years of relevant experience in a similar PLC / Automation / Instrumentation role.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Siemens PLCs.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems.
- Experience in industrial automation and process control.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with technical design and programming.
- Understanding of automation and industrial networking.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and analyse technical problems.
- Hands‑on and solution‑oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external teams.
- Awareness of working within a highly regulated industrial environment.
