Job summary

Movu Robotics in Belgium is seeking a Mechatronics Test Engineer to lead hands-on validation of full electromechanical systems. You will execute electrical, mechanical, and software tests per procedures and develop V&V documentation. The role requires 5+ years in engineering, strong hands-on hardware skills, and English fluency.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required in Mechatronics, Electronics, Automation, CS or related fields.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience, preferably in manufacturing/automation or aerospace.
• Hands-on testing and hardware repair experience.
• Fluent English (C1+) and eligibility to work in Belgium.
• Willing to travel daily to Movu Robotics HQ in Lokeren (no telework).

Responsibilities

• Execute tests (electrical, mechanical, software) per predefined procedures.
• Define and develop Verification & Validation procedures, work instructions, test scripts, and related documentation.
• Recommend corrective actions and obtain stakeholder acceptance of validation results.
• Log defects and issues found during V&V activities and track to closure.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external teams to stay aligned.

Job Description

As a Mechatronics Test Engineer you will work on full electromechanical and mechatronics systems. Your responsibilities include:

• Execute tests (electrical, mechanical, software) according to predefined test procedures.
• When needed, define and develop Verification & Validation procedures, work instructions, test scripts, and other documentation to demonstrate that the system is fit for its purpose and satisfies the stakeholders’ requirements.
• Recommend corrective actions and obtain stakeholder acceptance of validation results.
• Log defects and issues found during V&V activities and track to closure.
• Collaborate closely and stay aligned with other groups, both within and external to MOVU.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Automation, Computer Science or related fields.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience, preferably in manufacturing, automation, machine or aerospace industries.
• Comfortable in hands-on testing and reparation of hardware.
• Autonomous and a communicative team player.
• English is a must (C1 or higher).
• Eligible to work in Belgium.
• Mobile to Movu Robotics HQ in Lokeren daily (no telework).
