Movu Robotics is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to act as Technical Lead on assigned intralogistics projects. You will coordinate planning, drawings, calculations and documentation while mentoring the engineering team to ensure feasible, safe, and compliant solutions.

You’ll oversee the technical scope from design to commissioning, support budgeting and risk assessments, and travel when required to meet project needs in an international setting.

Qualifications

• Master in Engineering or equivalent with 7+ years in project engineering.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• English required; Dutch/French/German a plus.
• Experience with CAD reviews, safety and multidisciplinary projects.

Job Description

The Senior Project Engineer acts as Technical Lead on assigned projects and supports the Project Manager in the coordination, planning and execution of the engineering scope. He/she serves as technical end-responsible for complex and multidisciplinary projects and acts as mentor within the engineering team.

The Senior Project Engineer determines and validates the technical solution, coordinates and oversees all required technical drawings, calculations, documentation and technical advice in an efficient and qualitative manner to demonstrate the technical feasibility of an operation or to support the design of equipment, in accordance with the company’s QSHE standards within the proposed time frame.

Tasks and responsibilities

• He/she is the technical SPOC (Single Point of Contact) and Technical Lead for the racking and robotics projects assigned to him/her.
• Leads the technical execution of projects from handover until final implementation, in close collaboration with the Project Manager.
• Studies and analyses all technical documentation provided by internal/external stakeholders and translates this into the most efficient technical solution within the given constraints.
• Identifies missing information, technical risks and interface issues and defines appropriate mitigating actions to ensure successful project execution.
• Coordinates technical requirements, specifications, engineering scope and technical change management throughout the complete project lifecycle.
• Produces, reviews and validates the required technical documentation, calculations, layouts and reports to support the proposed solution and customer approvals.
• Performs and coordinates CAD design reviews, interface checks, collision validations and layout approvals to ensure technical feasibility, quality and compliance with project requirements.
• Reviews and validates designs, calculations and drawings fromsubcontractors,junior and medior engineers and supports the implementation of engineering standards, best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinates, instructs and follows up engineering team members and external engineering partners assigned to his/her projects.
• Acts as technical lead towards customers, suppliers, subcontractors and internal departments for all engineering related topics and technical discussions.
• Ensures machine safety compliance by coordinatingsafety layouts,safety concepts, safety matrix definitions and technical safety validations during design and execution phases.
• Supports project planning, milestone follow-up, budgeting, variation ordersand technical risk assessments.
• Attends and leads technical meetings, site inspections and on-site activities when required.
• Supports supplier selection, technical evaluation of quotations and technical follow-up during procurement, installation and commissioning phases.
• Assists internal and external stakeholders during execution to ensure proper implementation of the approved technical solution and supports during engineering, installation and commissioning.
• Guides and coaches junior and medior engineers and actively contributes to technical knowledge sharing within the engineering team.
• He/she is Ambassador of the company towards all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master in Engineering (electromechanics, industrial design …) or equivalent through experience with at least 7 years of relevant experience in project engineering or technical project execution.
• Good knowledge of English.Dutch,French and/or German is a plus.
• Strong technical leadership and communication skills.
• You have a strong sense of initiative, you are stress resistant & dynamic.
• You have knowledge of stability & strength calculations.
• You have affinity with materials and industrial installations.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, mainly Excel.
• Experience with CAD design reviews, multidisciplinary engineering coordination and machine safety is a strong plus.
• Experience with coordinating engineering teams and multidisciplinary projects is a strong plus.
• You are willing to travel abroad.
