Movu Robotics zoekt een Embedded Software Developer om de software van onze roboticasystemen vorm te geven en te verbeteren. Je werkt in een small team en werkt samen met R&D-ingenieurs uit elektronica en mechanica aan een herschrijving van de huidige toepassingen op een nieuw platform.

Je programmeert in C/C++/Rust, draagt bij aan de software-architectuur en zorgt voor betrouwbare en optimale prestaties. Reizen binnen België is mogelijk, met kantoorruimte in Berchem (Antwerpen) en Lokeren.

Qualifications

• Bachelor- of Mastergraad in industriële engineering of software engineering.
• Sterke ervaring met C/C++ en ambitie om Rust verder te ontwikkelen.
• Hands-on ervaring met ROS2.
• Ervaring met Matlab/Simulink is een pluspunt.
• Een echte R&D-mentaliteit met nieuwsgierigheid om te verbeteren.

Responsabilités

• Draag bij aan de herschrijving van de robotics-toepassingssoftware op een nieuw platform.
• Optimaliseer, breid uit en onderhoud het embedded softwarelandschap.
• Codeer in C/C++ of Rust.
• Pas robotics-ervaring toe voor nieuwe architecturen, met focus op Model Based Design.
• Analyseer, test en debug software voor betrouwbaarheid en prestaties.
• Train en ondersteun eindgebruikers, voornamelijk in België met af en toe reizen.
• Behoud duidelijke, grondige documentatie ter ondersteuning van het team en toekomstige ontwikkeling.

As an Embedded Software Developer at Movu Robotics, you'll help shape the software that powers our robotic systems — and you won't be doing it alone. You'll join a team of 7 enthusiastic colleagues, working in close collaboration with R&D engineers from electrical and mechanical backgrounds, on the rewrite of our current robotics application software onto a new platform.

Your responsibilities:

• Contribute to the rewrite of our robotics application software onto a new platform
• Optimise, expand, and maintain our embedded software landscape
• Code in C/C++ or Rust
• Apply your robotics experience to contribute to a new architectures, with a focus on Model Based Design
• Analyse, test, and debug software to ensure reliability and performance
• Train and support end users, primarily in Belgium with occasional travel abroad
• Maintain clear, thorough documentation to support the team and future development

Functie-eisen

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in industrial engineering or software engineering
• Strong experience in C/C++; ambition to grow into Rust is a plus
• Hands‑on experience with ROS2
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink is a nice‑to‑have
• A genuine R&D mindset, with curiosity to explore and improve
• Result‑driven, with a good sense of humour and a strong team spirit
• Stress‑resistant, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative
• Good command of Dutch and English
