• Master’s degree or PhD in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine or related field.
• Several years of experience in Medical Affairs or similar role.
• Experience working with key opinion leaders in ophthalmology.
• BeNeLux experience; fluent in English and Dutch; French is a plus.

To support its continued growth in the Benelux region, we are seeking a Medical Manager Benelux. In this strategic and hands-on role, you will act as the key scientific partner for internal teams and external stakeholders, shaping the regional medical strategy while building strong relationships with leading experts in the ophthalmology field.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Medical Strategy & Scientific Expertise

• Develop and execute the medical strategy for the Benelux region in line with global objectives
• Provide scientific expertise to support the ophthalmology portfolio and future product launches

Key Opinion Leader Engagement

• Build and maintain strong relationships with ophthalmologists and key opinion leaders across the Benelux
• Act as a trusted scientific partner and identify opportunities for collaboration
• Coordinate KOL involvement in webinars, events, and clinical activities
• Map HCP segments and needs, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for Marketing and Medical teams

Medical Education & Scientific Communication

• Provide scientific training and medical support to internal teams
• Support medical education initiatives, advisory boards and scientific events
• Deliver internal trainings and contribute to the company’s academy

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with commercial, marketing and regulatory teams
• Provide medical input for product positioning and communication materials
• Share regular internal updates on market trends, field insights, and KOL feedback

Evidence Generation & Medical Projects

• Support clinical studies and real-world evidence initiatives
• Monitor scientific developments and contribute to medical content where relevant
• Evaluate field insights and contribute to strategic development and research initiatives

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

• Master’s degree or PhD in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine or a related scientific discipline
• Several years of experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Advisor or a similar scientific role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
• Experience working with key opinion leaders and scientific stakeholders
• Experience in ophthalmology or a related therapeutic area is a strong advantage
• Experience in BeNeLux territory
• Fluent in English and Dutch; French is considered an asset

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Willingness to be regularly present in the field (hospital visits, practices, events)
• Availability to travel across the Benelux and occasionally internationally (e.g. congresses)
