  • Willingness to travel a minimum of 60% in the field (primarily Belgium and Luxembourg).

Job Description Summary: Translation of scientific and clinical insights into the overall success of the business. Core responsibilities include insights generation, scientific data analysis, partnering with key opinion leaders, and facilitating high‑quality education on emerging data and product knowledge with a focus on external contacts.

Major Accountabilities
  • Provide broad and deep understanding of the therapeutic area cross‑functionally and act as a credible medical and scientific expert for internal and external customers.
  • Develop the medical strategy in line with the company strategy, propose an annual medical plan, and ensure its deployment (clinical studies, publication plan, communication plan, strategic scientific partnerships, etc.).
  • Coordinate and deliver qualitative product/disease and therapy trainings to internal and external customers, including the field force.
  • Adequately manage the budget for the therapeutic area in the assigned country.
  • Organize and lead expert committees to gather insights and enrich strategic thinking.
  • Serve as the point of contact within the Medical Affairs team for external experts, fulfilling their needs for scientific information and knowledge relevant to the therapeutic area.
  • Collaborate as a member of Brand Teams with Marketing, Sales, and Tender management to implement material and projects that are part of strategic customer plans.
  • Integrate patients' perspectives into all medical reflections and actions, and act as a scientific and medical partner with the medical community and patient associations.
  • Develop and maintain external contacts with KOLs, influencers, key associations, academic and regulatory communities to gain market and clinical insights, including competitive intelligence.
  • Plan the congress strategy for the therapeutic area.
  • Engage HCPs in non‑promotional medical and scientific discussions regarding on‑market and in‑development products or disease state topics.
  • Support the development of new data through research collaborations, analyze existing data, and distribute it internally and externally where appropriate.
  • Identify and pursue collaboration opportunities with health care organisations and professionals.
  • Develop, initiate, and follow up on medical projects and/or clinical studies within the therapeutic area of interest.
  • Ensure all material and activities comply with local, global, and national laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, company policies, and best practice standards.
Minimum Requirements
  • Advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Medical Affairs and/or a Medical Advisor/MSL function.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills to convey complex medical information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective strategies for field medical activities, including target territory identification, goal setting, and detailed action plans.
  • Strong medical and scientific knowledge relevant to the product portfolio to engage healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven skill in identifying and engaging Key Opinion Leaders and building strong relationships to drive clinical advocacy and education.
  • Positive, solution‑oriented mindset with responsiveness and flexibility.
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal skills, ownership, and accountability, coupled with proven project management experience.
  • Familiarity with health authority, GCP, ICH requirements, and promotional material regulations.
  • Track record of developing, implementing, and managing innovative programs and processes.
  • Pronounced interest in the commercial success of projects/products in the therapeutic area or business unit.
  • Willingness to travel a minimum of 60% in the field (primarily Belgium and Luxembourg).
  • Fluent in Dutch, French, and English (oral and written).
