Job summary

The European Endowment for Democracy (EED) is seeking a Media Consultant to assist the Safety Net mechanism. You will assess proposals, verify information, and coach applicants to refine their submissions for consideration.

Responsibilities include knowledge consultancy, outreach, deliverable reviews, and stakeholder reporting, under the Safety Net Project Manager. The contract is initial for 12 months and may be extended, with a part-time arrangement based on need.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional media experience.
• Experience with grant-giving or media support organisations.
• Fluent knowledge of English and Russian.

Responsibilities

• Assess proposals and process support requests, including content review, information verification, and reference checks.
• Coach applicants after submissions to refine proposals for Safety Net consideration.
• Produce reports, updates, and reviews of media ecosystems relevant to the Safety Net mandate.
• Identify and engage with actors relevant to the Safety Net mandate.
• Review narrative reports submitted by Safety Net beneficiaries.
