European Endowment for Democracy (EED) seeks an experienced Grants Manager to lead financial and contractual management of its grant-making portfolio, ensuring sound financial controls, donor compliance and effective grants administration while guiding colleagues and a small team of staff and consultants.

The role requires seniority, strategic judgment and fluency in English with working knowledge of Arabic, Turkish or Farsi to engage diverse grantees and donors, support fundraising proposals

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in economics, international affairs, political or social science, law, international development or a related field — or a Bachelor’s degree with additional relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of grant-making, donor compliance and financial procedures.
• 5+ years in a managerial role within civil society-related projects or programmes.

Responsabilités

• Overseeing the financial and contractual management of EED grants, working with programme teams.
• Reviewing budgets, financial reports and supporting documentation for compliance.
• Managing grant contracts, amendments, payments and internal approvals.
