Optimus Search is seeking an experienced Freelance Mechanical Design Engineer for a 6-month project with a client in East Flanders. The role involves hands-on design, taking concepts through to detailed drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.

You will develop 3D models, produce 2D drawings, create BOMs, apply GD&T, and support manufacturing. Independent, freelance professionals with machinery experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Mechanical Design Engineering.
• Excellent Autodesk Inventor experience.
• Strong AutoCAD knowledge.
• Experience with machinery, industrial equipment or mechanical assemblies.
• Freelance-friendly and able to work independently.
• Available for a 6-month contract.

Freelance Mechanical Design Engineer - AutoCAD / Inventor

Optimus Search is looking for an experienced Freelance Mechanical Design Engineer for an initial 6-month project with an engineering company based in East Flanders.

This is a hands-on mechanical design position requiring strong experience with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, taking designs from concept through to detailed manufacturing drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D mechanical models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor

Your Profile

• Strong background in Mechanical Design Engineering
• Excellent Autodesk Inventor experience

• Experience with machinery, industrial equipment or mechanical assemblies
• Good understanding of manufacturing, machining and fabrication
• Comfortable working independently in a freelance environment
• Available for an initial 6-month contract
