Job summary

Victaulic is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to troubleshoot and support continuous process improvement across identified areas. The role emphasizes safe, efficient operations and collaboration with the Fab Manager.

You will drive problem solving, lead project reviews on cost, schedule, and technical performance, and help implement FEM and TPM programs while traveling up to 40%.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English; other languages are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Abide by all company safety rules, regulations, and policies, ensuring that safe and sanitary working conditions are maintained.
• Conduct safety training topics as required or needed.
• Attend/lead all safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions; investigate accidents and near misses, completing reports and taking action to eliminate root causes.
• Develop solutions to complex problems to modify procedure standards related to plant layout, design and construction.
• Act as primary contact for local facilities projects and lead cost, schedule, and technical reviews.
• Coordinate with Fab Manager to maintain quality of work process systems and assist in regular reporting.
• Drive fabrication process improvements; lead benchmarking and identify best practices globally.
• Ensure FEM program implementation and TPM programs are in place and followed.

The Role

As Manufacturing Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for troubleshooting and continuous support of process improvement for the identified areas.

What you will do

• Abide by all company safety rules, regulations, and policies, ensuring that safe and sanitary working conditions are maintained.
• Conduct safety training topics as required or needed.
• Responsible for attending/leading all assigned safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions. As required, promptly investigate accidents and near misses, completing appropriate reports and taking action to eliminate root causes.
• Develop solutions to a variety of complex - and sometimes unusual problems, that require independent judgement and ingenuity to modify procedure standards related to plant layout, design and construction.
• Acts as primary contact for local facilities project activities and leads project reviews of cost, schedule and technical performance.
• Coordinate with Fab Manager and teams to maintain quality of all work process systems and assist the Fab Manager to prepare reports on regular basis.
• Participate in the ongoing improvement and enhancement of existing processes related to fabrication. Take leadership role in benchmarking and identifying best-practices globally.
• Ensure our FEM program is implemented, and all total productive maintenance programs are in place and schedules are followed

About you

- BS Degree in Engineering.

• Able to work independently and within a team, self-motivated, with minimal supervision.
• Ability to travel up to 40%
• In-depth knowledge of materials planning computer systems required (BPCS or M3 preferred).
• Demonstrated ability in Process Improvement, metric development, and problem-solving is required.
• Fluent in English, other languages are an asset.
