BDO Belgium is seeking a Manager Strategy & Transformation – Payments to lead payments transformation projects, advising financial institutions on digital payments, open banking, instant payments and regulatory change.

You will combine payments expertise with practical consulting in a warm, personal environment, managing teams and building strong client relationships, with multilingual capabilities in English, Dutch and French.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years relevant experience in payments, banking transformation, financial services consulting or fintech.
• Understand the payments landscape including digital payments, open banking, instant payments, payment fraud and the regulations affecting financial institutions.
• Translate complex business and regulatory questions into clear recommendations and workable solutions.
• Turn knowledge and experience into value propositions for customers.
• Familiar with process automation, AI and applications used in banking such as core banking systems, ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics, Safer Payments and FeedzAI.
• Experience managing projects and guiding colleagues or project teams.
• English, Dutch and French; multilingual Belgium business environment.

• Conducting gap analyses and identifying opportunities to improve processes, services and operating models.
• Guiding clients through change and supporting adoption of new solutions within their organisation.
• Managing project teams, monitoring quality and progress, and helping colleagues develop their expertise.
• Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities where BDO can provide additional support.

How you make it count

As a Manager Strategy & Transformation – Payments, you help financial institutions translate developments in the payments landscape into concrete strategies and solutions. You combine subject-matter expertise with project leadership and work closely with client stakeholders throughout the transformation journey.

• Leading payments transformation projects, from defining the approach and planning to implementation and follow-up.

What do you bring to the table

• You have 5 to 8 years relevant experience in payments, banking transformation, financial services consulting or in a fintech and are ready to take responsibility for projects and client relationships.
• You understand the payments landscape, including digital payments, open banking, instant payments, payment fraud and the regulations affecting financial institutions.
• You can translate complex business and regulatory questions into clear recommendations and workable solutions.
• You have the ability to turn your knowledge and experience into value propositions that are relevant for your customers.
• You are familiar with process automation, AI and applications used in banking such as core banking systems, ServiceNow, Microsoft Dynamics, Safer Payments and FeedzAI.
• You have experience managing projects and guiding colleagues or project teams.
• You communicate professionally in English and have a strong command of Dutch and French, with the ability to work in Belgium’s multilingual business environment.
