BDO Belgium is seeking a Manager Strategy & Transformation – Lending to guide banks and financial institutions through lending process optimisation, strategy, and digital transformation in a hands-on, client-focused environment.

You will lead cross-functional projects, shape transformation roadmaps, enhance customer journeys, and translate business needs into practical system requirements while working in Belgium's multilingual market.

Qualifications

• You have 5 to 8 years of experience in lending, banking transformation or financial services consulting.
• You understand retail and/or corporate lending processes and can identify improvement opportunities.
• You can translate complex business needs into practical solutions and clear requirements for processes, data or technology.
• You can turn knowledge and experience into value propositions for customers.
• You are familiar with process automation, AI and banking apps such as core banking systems, ServiceNow, MS Dynamics and Fronteo.
• You have led projects and guided colleagues or project teams.
• You communicate professionally in English and have strong command of Dutch and French, with the ability to work in Belgium's multilingual environment.

• Defining lending strategies and transformation roadmaps based on business objectives, regulatory developments and customer needs.
• Improving customer journeys while balancing commercial, operational and risk considerations.
• Identifying opportunities for digitalisation, automation and data-driven decision-making within lending activities.
• Translating business needs into clear functional and system requirements in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
• Helping clients integrate sustainability considerations into their credit products, processes and lending operations.
• Leading projects, coordinating stakeholders and supporting less experienced colleagues in their development.
• Building strong client relationships and contributing to proposals and the further growth of BDO's lending offering.

How you make it count

As a Manager Strategy & Transformation – Lending, you help banks and other financial institutions rethink their lending activities. You analyse existing processes, define practical improvements and guide clients through their transformation from start to finish.

You work across retail and corporate lending and connect business needs with processes, data and technology. At the same time, you lead projects, build trusted client relationships and support the further development of BDO's lending expertise.

• You understand retail and/or corporate lending processes and can identify opportunities to improve them.
• You can translate complex business needs into practical solutions and clear requirements for processes, data or technology.
• You have the ability to turn your knowledge and experience into value propositions that are relevant for your customers.
• You are familiar with process automation, AI and applications used in banking such as core banking systems, ServiceNow, MS Dynamics, Fronteo, …
• You have experience leading projects and guiding colleagues or project teams.
• You communicate professionally in English and have a strong command of Dutch and French, with the ability to work in Belgium's multilingual business environment.
