Boortmalt in Belgium seeks a Production Manager to lead malt production operations, driving safety, quality and efficiency in line with the production plan. You will guide an on-site team, optimize processes and ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP and CSR standards.

You bring a Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field, 3+ years of supervisory experience in food production, fluent Dutch, strong Excel skills and a continuous improvement mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Bio-chemical Engineering, Agronomy or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role within a food/production environment.
• Solid understanding of production processes in the food industry.
• Strong mindset for continuous improvement and challenging the status quo.
• Fluent Dutch (spoken and written).
• Confident with MS Office (especially Excel).
• Flexible for on-call duty (evenings/weekends when required).

Responsabilités

• Oversee and optimize all production stages to ensure efficiency, safety and quality.
• Monitor and report on KPIs (safety, quality, delivery, cost, energy and waste).
• Own the production plan: set priorities, track progress, adjust schedules and resolve issues to ensure OTIF delivery.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements across processes, quality and performance.
• Drive operational excellence using data (OPI) and KPI development in daily operations.
• Build strong customer relationships to align production with technical specifications and service expectations.
• Ensure full compliance with SHE, food safety and environmental standards.
• Develop deep process knowledge to continuously improve malt quality.
