Job summary

ALTEN Group is seeking a Process Engineer to join our Life Sciences team and support a key pharmaceutical client. You will drive CAPEX projects from conception through commissioning, covering preprocessing, compounding, formulation and filling of aseptic products.

You will initiate business cases, manage budgets, engage suppliers, and ensure alignment with cost, schedule, quality and functionality requirements. Strong English and Dutch skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years engineering experience, with at least 2 years managing CAPEX projects in a regulated environment.
• Experience in pharmaceutical aseptic production is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of preprocessing, compounding, formulation and filling processes and project controls.
• Proactive, hands-on collaboration with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute CAPEX projects for preprocessing, compounding, formulation and filling of aseptic products.
• Initiate projects and develop business cases with stakeholders.
• Source suppliers, manage equipment ordering, and conduct design reviews.
• Oversee FAT/SAT, commissioning and IQ/OQ/PQ testing for startup activities.
• Manage project budgets and schedules across multiple departments.
• Define strategies aligned with cost, schedule, quality and functionality requirements.
