Imec, a world-leading research center in nanotechnology, seeks a Team Leader for the Device Modelling team in Leuven, Belgium. You will oversee the development of physics-based compact models translating device physics into predictive models for circuit simulation and technology exploration.

You will guide a cross-disciplinary team, drive co-optimization research, and collaborate with technology, modelling, and design groups while fostering an inclusive and innovative environment.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or Master’s with at least 5 years of relevant industrial experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of people management and leadership.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor device physics and compact modelling.
  • Familiarity with DTCO and circuit simulations; knowledge of advanced fabrication processes.

Responsabilités

  • Lead an expert team of researchers and R&D engineers in device modelling, optimisation and benchmarking.
  • Manage project assignments from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop team capabilities and scientific excellence through coaching and mentorship.
  • Set high standards for modelling practices and drive methodological advancements.
  • Foster collaborations across departments and external groups; promote inclusive teamwork.
