Job summary

Altia is seeking a UX designer to shape user experiences, journeys and interfaces for data services powering a central catalogue of digital products across Europe. You will translate complex data workflows into intuitive, accessible designs for international stakeholders.

The role requires hands-on UI/UX design, UX research, and clear user guides, with proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD and the Creative Suite. A university degree and UX certifications are expected.

The project

Join an international digital transformation initiative focused on AI, data sovereignty, and digital services. You will be responsible for designing user experiences, user journeys, and interfaces for data services that will form part of a central catalogue of digital products, aligning data workflows with end-user needs.

Requirements

• Education: University degree.
• Languages: English spoken and written at B2 level or higher.
• Certifications: At least one recognised UX certification (e.g., Google UX Design Professional, NN/g UX Certification, CUA, CXA, CPUX, or Akendi).
• Core Design & UX Experience:
• Hands-on experience in UI/UX Design, UX Research, or Digital Communication.
• Proficiency in UI/UX tools: Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong foundation in user research (interviews, surveys, usability testing, task flows, personas, user journeys).
• Experience in defining user-centred information architecture, metadata, and tagging structures.
• Data & Accessibility Knowledge:
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Kibana, Highcharts or similar) and drafting technical user guides.
• Solid understanding of web accessibility standards and data protection principles.
• Soft Skills: Experience providing user support, communicating research findings to international stakeholders, working autonomously, and delivering evidence-based recommendations.
