Ayesa Digital is seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer to contribute to European Union projects, shaping user-centred digital interfaces and experiences from discovery to validation.

You will work with cross-functional teams in an international, multicultural environment, using Figma, UX research, usability testing, and Agile methods to deliver high-quality solutions.

This role is based in Brussels, offering near-site collaboration with developers, product owners, and stakeholders across Europe.

Qualifications

• Master's or bachelor's degree with 5–7 years IT experience.
• At least 6 years using UX/UI tools such as Figma, Balsamiq, InVision, UxPin, Framer.js.
• At least 3 years applying user-centred design principles.
• Proven experience conducting usability tests.
• Strong English communication (CEFR B2+).

We are currently looking for a UI/UX Designer to join an international project supporting the design and evolution of digital solutions within a European Union environment.

The role will focus on user experience and interface design, applying user-centred design principles and UX best practices throughout the different stages of digital product development. You will work on understanding user needs, designing intuitive interfaces, creating prototypes, and validating solutions through usability and user testing.

You will work in an international and multicultural environment, collaborating with developers, product owners, business stakeholders, and other project specialists to translate user needs into effective digital experiences and ensure a high standard of usability and visual design.

What You Will Do (Responsibilities)

• Design intuitive, accessible, and user-centred digital interfaces and experiences.
• Apply UX design best practices throughout the different stages of digital solution development.
• Translate user needs, requirements, personas, and user stories into effective UX and UI solutions.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, mock-ups, and other design deliverables using modern UX/UI design tools.
• Work with design tools such as Figma, Balsamiq, InVision, UxPin, Framer.js, or comparable technologies.
• Plan and conduct usability and user testing activities to validate designs and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop usability test plans based on defined target audiences, personas, user stories, and business requirements.
• Perform user testing throughout the different stages of a digital solution and incorporate findings into design iterations.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, business stakeholders, and other project teams to ensure the effective implementation of design solutions.
• Contribute to design systems, UI consistency, interaction patterns, and reusable design components.
• Document UX decisions, design processes, and relevant project information using collaborative tools such as Confluence or equivalent platforms.
• Participate in Agile development environments, contributing to iterative design and continuous improvement processes.
• Analyse feedback and user behaviour to identify improvements to the usability, accessibility, and overall user experience of digital solutions.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

• University degree corresponding to Level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework, typically a master's degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years of professional IT experience.
• Alternatively, a university degree corresponding to Level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework, typically a bachelor's degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 7 years of professional IT experience.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience using UX/UI design tools such as Figma, Balsamiq, InVision, UxPin, Framer.js, or comparable technologies.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience applying UX design best practices.
• Minimum 3 years of experience applying user-centred design principles and methodologies.
• Experience developing usability test plans based on target audiences, personas, user stories, and defined requirements.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience conducting user testing throughout the different stages of digital solution development.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience working in Agile development environments.
• Minimum 3 years of experience using collaborative documentation and knowledge-management tools such as Atlassian Confluence or equivalent platforms.
• Strong understanding of user-centred design, usability, interaction design, information architecture, and user experience principles.
• Ability to translate complex user and business requirements into clear, intuitive, and effective digital experiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a user-focused approach to design.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, corresponding to at least Level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary and international teams.
