Job summary

Alterface is seeking a creative junior software engineer to join our software team in Wavre, Belgium. In this role you will develop projects from specification to on-site installation using our Salto language and environment, and you will work on legacy code by adding features and fixing bugs.

You will design, develop and test in C# or C++, and produce detailed documentation for internal and external sharing.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in source control systems (Git, SVN…)
• Experience with development languages like C++, C#, Python…
• Fluent in both written and spoken French and English
• Excellent communication skills for direct interaction with clients and partners
• Bonus points for experience with Unity or Unreal
• Possessing a driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Develop projects from specification to on-site installation using Salto language and SaltoTM environment.
• Manage projects, demonstrating planning and on-site installation skills in SaltoTM.
• Dive into legacy code, adding new features and fixing bugs.
• Design, develop and implement unit tests and tooling in C# or C++.
• Produce comprehensive technical and installation documentation for internal and external sharing.
• Work with senior engineers to implement development processes, coding best practices and code reviews.
• Participate in solution-focused design peer reviews and code evaluations.
• Support software and maintenance teams during on-site installations.
