Job summary

Catalyx in Belgium is seeking a Junior Machine Vision Engineer to join our team. You will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine vision systems within industrial automation projects.

Collaborate with engineering teams, vendors, and customers to deliver production-ready solutions that meet technical specs and industry standards. The role involves testing, BOM creation, and supporting installation and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Computer Engineering.
• Availability to work evening and weekend hours or varying work patterns depending on project needs.
• Fluent in English, Dutch and/or French; German knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define the scope of machine vision projects with customers and sales leadership.
• Design optical configurations to meet inspection requirements within the target environment.
• Perform sample testing and POC’s to verify designs and ensure production-readiness.
• Lead design and development of machine vision systems for industrial automation projects.
• Create technical specifications and bills of materials for machine vision systems.
• Coordinate with procurement, installation, and testing teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
