Nitto Belgium NV in Genk is seeking a Junior IT/OT Engineer to contribute to the digitalization of our production environment. You will work in a closely coupled IT/OT team, guided by experienced colleagues, and gain practical experience across networks, automation and cybersecurity.

We value motivation, eagerness to learn and a hands-on mindset. The role is on‑site in Genk with flexible hours and opportunities for growth within a global organization.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a technical field such as Engineering Technology (Electronics-ICT or Computer Science) or comparable.
• Interest in technology, automation and industrial environments.
• During studies, exposure to networks, software, industrial systems, data or cybersecurity.
• Curious, analytical and quick to learn.
• Hands-on mentality with precise project execution.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; able to commute daily to Genk.

Therefore, we are looking for an enthusiastic Junior IT/OT Engineer who wants to contribute to the further digitalization of our production environment while continuing to develop at the intersection of technology, industrial networks, automation and cybersecurity.

Important: Fluent Dutch is required for this position, as you will work closely with colleagues in our production environment on a daily basis.

Your challenge

As a Junior IT/OT Engineer, you will be part of our IT/OT team that supports and improves the technology within our production environment. You will be guided by experienced colleagues and will have the opportunity to further build your knowledge through practical experience.

You Will Contribute To, Among Other Things

• Supporting and further developing our IT and OT environment.
• Projects related to digitalization, automation and Industry 4.0.
• Industrial networks, production PCs, servers and data communication.
• Systems such as SCADA, HMI and MES that support our production processes.
• Improvements in the areas of reliability, safety and cybersecurity.
• Collaborating with colleagues from IT, Engineering, Maintenance and Production.

Who are you?

• You recently obtained a Master's degree in a technical field, such as Engineering Technology (Electronics-ICT or Computer Science) or a comparable degree.
• You have a strong interest in technology, automation and industrial environments.
• During your studies, you have already been introduced to topics such as networks, software, industrial systems, data or cybersecurity.
• You are curious, analytical and learn quickly.
• You have a hands‑on mentality and complete projects accurately.
• You enjoy working together and communicate fluently in Dutch and English.
• Given the on‑site nature of this role, you are able to commute to our site in Genk on a daily basis.

Experience is not required. We value your motivation, eagerness to learn and interest in technology more than years of experience.
