Polytra, part of the Fracht Group, is growing and seeks a Junior Freight Forwarder to learn the trade from the ground up. Based at our Berchem head office near Antwerp, you start on standard ocean import files with an experienced colleague and grow into more complex work as you gain experience.

Function

Our General Cargo team handles a high volume of ocean import files. We are looking for a Junior Freight Forwarder who wants to learn the trade from the ground up: you start on standard files with an experienced colleague beside you, and take on more as you grow.

THE ROLE

• You handle standard ocean import files from booking to closing.
• You enter and manage orders in the forwarding system.
• You check shipping and customs documents — reviewed together with you at first.
• You book and follow up with shipping lines, transport partners and agents.
• You monitor arrivals, deliveries and exceptions.

• You ask when something is unclear — that is how files stay correct.
• You take on more complex files as your experience grows.

Profile

WHAT YOU BRING

• A logistics degree, or a first year of experience in forwarding.
