Manuport Logistics (MPL) in Antwerp seeks an experienced Senior Forwarder to manage a diverse import shipments portfolio for the Deco & Toys team. You will handle bookings, documentation, customs follow-up, and customer communications across international shipments.

The role focuses on balancing operational excellence with relationship management, maintaining multiple shipment flows, and driving growth through proactive service and collaboration with internal departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in freight forwarding and independent import shipments management.
• Extensive knowledge of international forwarding processes and transport regulations.
• Experience with consumer goods, decoration, furniture, retail, lifestyle or toys is a strong asset.
• Able to manage a broad customer portfolio and multiple shipment flows with priorities.
• Strong import knowledge and understanding of international supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Manage import shipments from A to Z for a diverse portfolio of international customers.
• Coordinate bookings, transport arrangements, documentation, customs follow-up, invoicing and final delivery.
• Serve as the primary contact for customers, suppliers, carriers and agents.
• Build long-term relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
• Monitor shipment progress and resolve operational challenges before they impact the customer.
• Manage multiple customers, suppliers and shipment flows concurrently.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless execution.
• Advise customers on logistics solutions and operational possibilities.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations and internal procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve service levels and customer satisfaction.
• Share knowledge and support less experienced colleagues.
• Take ownership of your customer portfolio and contribute to division growth.

Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Forwarder within our Deco & Toys team, you take ownership of a diverse portfolio of import shipments for customers active in the decoration, furniture, lifestyle and toys sectors.

Unlike roles focused on one or two strategic accounts, you'll work with a broad range of customers, each with their own products, supply chains and priorities. Your ability to switch quickly between customers, anticipate challenges and maintain strong relationships is key to your success.

What you'll be doing

• Managing import shipments from A to Z for a diverse portfolio of international customers.
• Coordinating bookings, transport arrangements, documentation, customs-related follow-up, invoicing and final delivery.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, carriers and agents.
• Building long-term customer relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
• Monitoring shipment progress and resolving operational challenges before they impact the customer.
• Managing multiple customers, suppliers and shipment flows simultaneously.
• Coordinating closely with internal departments to ensure seamless execution.
• Advising customers on logistics solutions and operational possibilities.
