Job summary

iBanFirst in Brussels is expanding its accounting team to support growth across European operations. You will manage invoices, supplier payments, bank reconciliations, and monthly payroll journals, while participating in period closings and year-end audits for France and other branches.

A strong process mindset and collaboration with cross-border teams are essential. Fluency in English and French, a university degree in accounting, and knowledge of BEGAAP/FRGAAP are required, with prior VAT

Qualifications

• University or bachelor degree in accounting or corporate finance.
• Familiar with BEGAAP and FRGAAP standards.
• Experience with French VAT is preferred.
• First experience in a similar position is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the Office suite.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Organized, precise and rigorous; a real team player.

Responsibilities

• Verify and enter invoices and expense reports.
• Prepare supplier payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly payroll journals for France.
• Assist in periodic accounting closings.
• Contribute to Year-End audit for France and assist other branches.
• Conduct one-off financial analyses.
• Draft and update accounting and administrative procedures.
• Support projects related to internal tools evolution.
• Assist with VAT returns and consolidation of subsidiaries.
