Job summary

Uni Systems is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes across the International F&A function. You will prepare journal entries, manage reconciliations and accruals, and oversee AP/AR workflows to meet deadlines.

You will also review tax declarations (VAT, EC, VIES), analyze variances, and drive process improvements with automation. Mentoring junior staff and ensuring local GAAP compliance are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and month-end closing processes.

Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Accountant supports the daily financial operations of the International F&A department, contributing to the seamless functioning of the accounting processes for all company entities & supporting junior team members.

What do you need to succeed in this position?

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and month-end closing processes.
• Proven proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and strong Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation abilities.
• Strong understanding of tax and VAT principles applicable in EU jurisdictions.
• Knowledge of IAS/ IFRS will be considered a plus.
• Excellent use of English, both written and verbal.
• Good command of French is desirable.
