Job summary

WorxInvest, a long-term investment company, seeks an accounting professional to support day-to-day activities across multiple group entities from our Antwerp office. You will manage invoices, bank transactions, journal entries, and contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master’s in Accountancy/Finance with about three years' experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with SAP or ERP systems and IFRS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accountancy, Finance or related field, with 3 years of experience.
• Strong Excel skills; SAP or ERP experience and IFRS knowledge a plus.
• Interest in real estate/private equity; accurate, proactive and team-oriented; fluent Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting across multiple group entities, including invoices, bank transactions, and journal entries, and contribute to closings.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and balance sheet analyses.
• Assist in preparing periodic financial reports for internal and external stakeholders; prepare statutory statements and audit documentation.
• Help implement internal controls and standardize accounting processes.
• Participate in ad hoc finance projects and analyses.

About the role

Your mission

Accounting

• You will support the day-to-day accounting activities across multiple group entities, ensuring that financial records are accurate, complete, and up to date. This includes processing invoices, bank transactions, and journal entries, as well as contributing to the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• You will also assist in monitoring balance sheet accounts, helping to maintain a high standard of financial accuracy and compliance.

Reporting & control

• You will contribute to the preparation of periodic financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
• In addition, you will support the preparation of statutory financial statements, audit documentation, reconciliations, and balance sheet analyses to ensure the quality and reliability of financial information.

Process improvements

• As part of a continuously evolving finance organization, you will actively contribute to the optimization and standardization of accounting and financial processes.
• You will support the implementation of internal controls and accounting policies, helping to strengthen the overall control environment and improve operational efficiency.

Ad hoc support

• You will assist with a variety of finance-related projects, analyses, and administrative tasks, while providing support to colleagues with financial questions. This will give you broad exposure to different aspects of finance and help you further develop your accounting and business knowledge in a hands-on environment.

Your profile

Who we are looking for

• You hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field, complemented by three years of relevant professional experience.
• You have strong technical skills, including excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with SAP or another ERP system is considered an asset, as is a basic knowledge of IFRS.
• You have an interest in or experience with real estate and/or with private equity structures.
• You possess strong analytical skills and work with a high level of accuracy. You are proactive, eager to learn, and perform well in a team environment.
• Your strong communication skills enable you to contribute to smooth collaboration with colleagues.
• You are fluent in both Dutch and English, written as well as spoken.
