EUROPEAN DYNAMICS Group in Brussels is seeking a Java Application Architect fluent in English to join the development team. The role is based in Brussels, Belgium and may be performed on company premises or on customer sites, integrating with a major client’s IT team on site.

Responsibilities include analysis of system integrations, data modelling, producing architecture documents, and building cloud architecture components with microservices.

Qualifications

• University degree in IT with 15 years of relevant IT experience.
• Minimum 10 years in Java development and Hibernate.
• Minimum 10 years in SQL and CSS/HTML/JavaScript.
• Extensive WebLogic, XML, SOAP UI and RUP experience.
• Proficient in Git, Spring, Maven, Bootstrap and JMS.
• Knowledge of JDBC, JUnit, JSF, AngularJS, JSP and Struts.
• Experience with Jenkins, cloud architectures and microservices.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and interoperability.

We currently have a vacancy for a Java Application Architect fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Tasks:

• Analysis of the integration of different information systems;
• Data analysis and data modelling;
• Production of software architecture documents;
• Creating designs and blueprints of Cloud Architecture;
• Review of the architecture of existing systems to migrate of existing system in the cloud;
• Design and development of architecture components and building blocks using cloud components.

• University degree in IT combined with relevant IT professional experience of 15 years;
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Java development;
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Hibernate framework;
• Minimum 10 years of experience in SQL;
• Minimum 10 years of experience in CSS, HTML and JavaScript;
• Minimum 9 years of experience in WebLogic;
• Minimum 8 years of experience in XML;
• Minimum 7 years of experience in SOAP UI;
• Minimum 6 years of experience in RUP;
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Git;
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Spring framework, Maven as well as Bootstrap;
• Minimum 4 years of experience in JMS;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in JDBC, JUnit and JSF;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in AngularJS;
• Minimum 2 years of experience in JSP and Struts;
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Jenkins;
• Good knowledge of architecture best practices and patterns;
• Good knowledge of microservices and architecture in the cloud;
• Good knowledge of applications design and modelling tools;
• Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture;
• Good knowledge of business process analysis;
• Knowledge of interoperability technology (web services, message-oriented middleware, service oriented bus, event architecture);
• Knowledge of HR applications and business logic;
• Excellent command of the English language, French will be considered an asset.
