Job summary

EUROPEAN DYNAMICS seeks a Junior Java Developer to join the Brussels team. The role involves developing and maintaining Java applications, integrating with client IT teams on site, and supporting deployment and testing activities.

Fluent English is required, and work may be on company premises or customer sites. The candidate will work closely with the Development team to ensure high-quality solutions while adhering to standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, with at least 1 year of IT experience.
• At least 1 year of Java application development experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with relational databases.
• Knowledge of web standards, CSS-based design, cross-browser compatibility.
• Knowledge of REST and APIs, developing APIs.
• Experience with issue-tracking and ticketing tools.
• Knowledge of application integration.
• Knowledge of database management systems.
• Experience with AGILE, Scrum or DevOps is a plus.
• Excellent command of English.

We currently have a vacancy for an Junior Java Developer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either on the company’s premises or on site at the customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks

• Develop and maintain applications in accordance with specifications and technical best practices;


• Requirements analysis;


• Investigate technical solutions which meet a list of requirements and standards;


• Assist the project manager in making proposals for the definition of tasks, estimates and deliverables;


• Define and integrate technological components or applications;


• Assist with deployment and configuration of the system;


• Take part in application support by investigating issues (3rd level support etc.);


• Developing and maintaining Java-based applications;


• Supporting integration with existing platforms;


• Assist in system enhancements and optimisations;


• Participate in testing, debugging, and validation activities.
