SYNCTIV RECRUITMENT is seeking a technically strong IT System Engineer to manage and modernize a secure, reliable IT infrastructure in Antwerp. You will work with Windows Server, Linux, VMware vSphere, and cloud initiatives to ensure high availability and performance in a 24/7 environment.

Based in Antwerp, Belgium, this payroll contract role requires several years of experience in system and infrastructure engineering, strong troubleshooting skills, and basic networking knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent.
• Several years of experience as a System / Infrastructure Engineer.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN).
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux / RHEL.
• Experience with VMware vSphere.

Responsabilités

• Manage and optimize Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Troubleshoot complex incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Handle patching, upgrades, configurations and monitoring.
• Contribute to Azure and hybrid cloud projects.
• Support automation and infrastructure standardization.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for critical incidents.

Are you a technically strong System Engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges and working in a critical 24/7 IT environment?

For one of our clients, we’re looking for an IT System Engineer to help manage and modernize a secure, reliable and high-performing IT infrastructure.

Your responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize Windows Server & Linux environments
• Troubleshoot complex technical incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Handle patching, upgrades, configurations and monitoring
• Contribute to Azure & hybrid cloud projects
• Support automation and infrastructure standardization
• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers
• Participate in an on-call rotation for critical incidents
• Several years of experience as a System / Infrastructure Engineer
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server
• Experience with Linux / RHEL
• Experience with VMware vSphere
• Strong troubleshooting skills and basic networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience
