Confidential is seeking a junior lawyer to join its International Arbitration & Dispute Resolution team in Belgium. The role focuses on assisting in international arbitration proceedings across multiple jurisdictions and related court matters.

The candidate will handle recognition, enforcement and annulment procedures, support on construction, commercial contracts, M&A and international law disputes, and help prepare pleadings. A Belgian Master’s in Law is required, with an LL.M.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in Dispute Resolution.
• Belgian Master’s degree in Law; LL.M. is an asset.
• Native French speaker with excellent English command.

Responsabilités

• Assist in institutional and ad hoc international arbitration proceedings.
• Work on recognition, enforcement and annulment of arbitral awards and foreign judgments.
• Advise on disputes involving construction, commercial contracts, M&A and international law.

Your responsibilities

• Assist clients in institutional and ad hoc international arbitration proceedings.
• Work on proceedings concerning the recognition, enforcement and annulment of arbitral awards and foreign judgments.
• Advise on disputes relating to construction, commercial agreements, M&A and international law.
• Prepare pleadings and other procedural documents.
• Contribute to the development of case strategies.
• Work with colleagues on matters involving different jurisdictions.

Let's talk about you

• You have between 1 - 3 years of experience in Dispute Resolution and a strong interest in International Arbitration.
• You hold a Belgian Master's degree in Law with excellent academic results. An LL.M. from an English-speaking university is considered an asset.
• You are a native French speaker with an excellent command of English.
• Additional language skills are an advantage.
• You combine strong legal analytical skills with a proactive and client-focused approach.
• You enjoy working collaboratively within an international environment.
