Job summary

confidential, Brussels-based, international law firm, seeks a junior lawyer (1-5 years) to support the Commercial & Litigation team on distribution networks, consumer issues and dispute resolution for Belgian and international clients.

You will gain early exposure to advisory work and disputes, collaborate across offices, and contribute to multidisciplinary matters alongside colleagues from different practice areas.

Qualifications

• You have 1-5 years of experience in a legal environment.
• You have an interest in commercial law and exposure to contracts, regulatory matters or disputes.
• You are a native French speaker with excellent English and good knowledge of the other national language.
• You obtained strong academic results during your legal studies.
• You are interested in sectors shaped by innovation and evolving business models.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with development and operation of distribution and franchising structures.
• Draft, analyse and negotiate a range of commercial agreements.
• Advise on consumer law, product regulation and market practices.
• Support assignments involving competition, privacy and intellectual property aspects.
• Take part in litigation and arbitration matters.
• Prepare legal and procedural documentation for dispute resolution proceedings.
• Work with colleagues from different practice areas on multidisciplinary matters.
• Contribute to internal and external knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Its Brussels Commercial & Litigation team assists both Belgian and international clients on commercial law matters, with particular experience in distribution networks, consumer-related issues and dispute resolution.
