confidential in Antwerp is seeking a Belgian-qualified lawyer with 1–5 years of dispute resolution experience to join its Financial Services and Insurance practice. You will advise on regulatory enforcement, complex disputes and cross-border matters, while coordinating with the firm’s international offices and senior lawyers.

Responsabilidades

• Advise clients on contentious financial services and insurance matters, including complex regulatory and commercial disputes.
• Manage and support litigation, arbitration and regulatory enforcement proceedings.
• Draft procedural documents, legal opinions, submissions and strategic client communications.
• Analyse complex legal and factual questions and turn them into clear, practical advice.
• Assist clients through investigations, negotiations and settlement discussions.
• Coordinate workstreams with other practice groups and international offices.
• Attend client meetings, hearings and negotiations with partners and senior lawyers.
• Contribute to business development, legal publications and knowledge-sharing.
• Support junior colleagues through day-to-day guidance and feedback.

Your responsibilities

• Advise clients on contentious financial services and insurance matters, including complex regulatory and commercial disputes.
• Manage and support litigation, arbitration and regulatory enforcement proceedings.
• Draft procedural documents, legal opinions, submissions and strategic client communications.
• Analyse complex legal and factual questions and turn them into clear, practical advice.
• Assist clients through investigations, negotiations and settlement discussions.
• Coordinate workstreams in close collaboration with other practice groups and the firm's international offices.
• Attend client meetings, hearings and negotiations alongside the Partner and senior lawyers.
• Contribute to business development, legal publications and the team's knowledge-sharing.
• Support junior colleagues through day-to-day guidance and feedback.

Let's talk about you

• You hold a Belgian Master's degree in Law with strong academic results and are admitted to practise as a lawyer in Belgium.
• You have 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in dispute resolution, commercial litigation, financial services, insurance or regulatory matters.
• You have strong legal, analytical and drafting skills, with a keen eye for detail and excellent written and verbal communication.
• You manage your files and priorities independently, while knowing when to seek input.
• You are proactive, pragmatic and solution-driven, with a genuine interest in financial services, insurance and contentious regulatory work.
• You are a team player who enjoys a dynamic, international environment and wants to grow quickly through hands-on experience.
• You are fluent in Dutch, with an excellent command of English and French.
