ClearSpace is seeking an experienced Business Development Director – Institutional to lead the institutional pipeline and foster relationships with agencies such as the European Commission, ESA, DLR, CNES, and UKSA. The role focuses on capturing opportunities, shaping bids, and securing funding for ClearSpace across national and international space programmes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in bid management in the space industry.
• Experience across institutional bids (ESA, EU/EIC, DLR, CNES, national agencies).
• Excellent understanding of the institutional space ecosystem.
• Strong commercial awareness and risk management.
• Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and written/verbal communication.
• Strong understanding of IOS and ADR activities.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with EU/ESA funding instruments.

Responsabilités

• Lead capture management for institutional bid opportunities across EC, ESA and national agencies.
• Manage and coordinate institutional bids through the acquisition process, including negotiations.
• Ensure bid production is on schedule and compliant with requirements.
• Coordinate inputs from projects, engineering, procurement, finance and contracts teams.
• Support BD events, engagements with institutional stakeholders and partner engagement.
• Lead policy-style engagements with member-state discussions.
• Support Product Development aligned to institutional programme needs.
