Michael Page International Belgium is seeking an Indirect Buyer to manage procurement activities for indirect spend across an international context. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure compliant and value-driven purchasing decisions, while supporting supplier relationships and risk mitigation.

The role emphasizes optimizing total cost of ownership and working with Finance, Logistics, Quality, and Legal teams in a dynamic industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in indirect procurement or purchasing.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and approval controls.
• Proven negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across org levels.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are an asset.

Responsabilités

• Manage the full purchasing process for indirect categories, including services, MRO, facilities, packaging, tooling, and professional services
• Create, review, and manage purchase orders while ensuring compliance with internal approval processes and procurement policies
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best value, optimise total cost of ownership, and support business objectives
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Resolve procurement-related issues such as order confirmations, invoice discrepancies, pricing disputes, and delivery challenges
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Logistics, Quality, Legal, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement execution
• Support contract management and supplier risk mitigation initiatives

Job Description

• As Indirect Buyer you will be responsible for following tasks:

• Manage the full purchasing process for indirect categories, including services, MRO, facilities, packaging, tooling, and professional services

You will work together with your procurement colleagues and report to the Procurement Manager.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience in indirect procurement or purchasing
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and approval controls
• Proven negotiation and vendor management skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across different organisational levels
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are considered an asset
• You have a service-oriented mindset
