The Vlaams Instituut voor Biotechnologie (VIB) is seeking a wet-lab technician to support in vivo CRISPR screening within the PowerPortrait ERC project. You will work under a staff scientist, performing CRISPR screens from start to finish using advanced technologies and handling primary murine cells and mice.

Responsibilities include cell culture, transduction, flow cytometry, FACS sorting, and microscopy; you will also prepare buffers and contribute to lab operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in biomedical lab sciences or related field.
• FELASA B/C certificate or willingness to obtain in a timely manner.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Experience with in vitro work and with mice.
• Experience with molecular techniques such as PCR/qPCR.

Responsabilités

• Support in vivo CRISPR screening within the ERC Starting Grant project PowerPortrait.
• Conduct CRISPR screens from start to finish with various high-end technologies.
• Perform cell and mouse work, cell transduction, and multicolor flow cytometry.
• Assist with FACS sorting, light/fluorescence and confocal microscopy, and irradiation.
• Prepare buffers and contribute to general lab organization and safety.
