VIB's Laboratory of Causal Systems Immunology seeks a wet-lab technician to support in vivo CRISPR screening. You will join the PowerPortrait ERC project, culture primary murine stem cells, and genetically modify them to generate transgenic mice.

Expect cell/mouse work, transduction, flow cytometry, microscopy, irradiation, and routine buffer prep in a high-tech, collaborative environment. You will work under staff scientists, with training opportunities and access to core facilities, within a

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in biomedical laboratory technology, biochemistry, biotechnology, animal care or a related field.
• FELASA B/C certificate or willingness to obtain the certificate promptly.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Experience with in vitro work and mouse handling.
• Experience with molecular techniques (PCR, qPCR).
• Knowledge of lab health and safety procedures.
• Previous lab experience; team player.

Responsabilités

• Support in vivo CRISPR screening within the ERC PowerPortrait project.
• Culture primary murine stem cells in vitro and genetically modify them.
• Perform cell work, mouse work, transduction, and flow cytometry (FACS).
• Operate multicolor flow cytometry, microscopy and irradiation.
• Assist with buffer preparation and general lab tasks.
