IC Test Automation Engineer: From Lab to Production

Job summary

Metheion Technology & Engineering Consulting is seeking a hands-on IC testing specialist to help bring semiconductor products from validation to production. You will set up test benches, automate measurements, and generate reliable data that translate test requirements into actionable engineering insights.

Work is 4 days on-site with one flexible day, in a permanent payroll or freelance arrangement on a 6‑month assignment with potential prolongation.

Qualifications

• Experience in IC testing, semiconductor validation, or electronic system testing.
• Hands-on experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and laboratory measurement equipment.
• Solid experience with Python, MATLAB, or a similar test automation environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and debug IC test benches, including instruments, power supplies, evaluation boards, fixtures, cabling, automation scripts, and data-acquisition systems.
• Execute functional and parametric tests according to validation plans and product requirements.
• Analyze measurement data, identify anomalies and root causes, and correlate test results with design expectations.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and measurement workflows using Python, MATLAB, or similar environments.
• Prepare clear and concise test reports, including plots, observations, pass/fail criteria, conclusions, and recommended next steps.
• Work closely with IC design, validation, application, and system engineering teams.
• Coordinate with external test houses and test-service providers on test requirements, implementation, logistics, data exchange, issue tracking, and schedules.
• Support the transition from laboratory validation toward production-oriented testing and ATE environments.
