Virya Energy NV in Belgium is seeking a Study Engineer Hydrogen to support hydrogen projects from concept phase through investment decisions and subsequent realization. You will combine engineering, data analysis and investment studies to assess technical and economic feasibility of green hydrogen projects, contributing to the hydrogen value chain from production to end-use applications.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• 3–8 years of experience in technical studies, feasibility studies, or engineering projects within energy, infrastructure or industrial sectors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Affinity with energy infrastructure, renewable energy, hydrogen, or related technologies.
• Excellent communication and the ability to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Fluent in Dutch, English, French.

Responsabilités

• Develop the technical foundations of large-scale green hydrogen projects that contribute to the decarbonization of industry in Belgium.
• Participate in the technical studies that support the development of our hydrogen production projects.
• Carry out feasibility studies and analyze large datasets to assess project viability.
• Coordinate and manage relationships with external engineering firms and study agencies.
• Support investment decisions through yield calculations and techno-economic assessments.
• Provide technical support and optimization for our operational production installations.
• Monitor, manage, and optimize the performance of active production assets.
• Support the procurement, design, and commissioning of new production installations.
• Contribute to projects related to maintenance, planning, and production optimization.
• Work closely with Business Developers and provide technical expertise throughout the project development process.
