Job summary

BIG WATER CONSULTING (BWC) is seeking a Software Asset Manager for a Brussels-based client. This full-time permanent contract offers a hybrid work model with 50% onsite and 50% telework in Belgium.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SAM, software license management or related roles.
• Strong understanding of licensing models, contracts, and compliance.
• Experience with SAM/ITAM tools and processes.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze licensing data to identify optimization opportunities.
• Proficient in Excel, SQL and Power BI for data insights.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• End-to-end license lifecycle management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of IT software licenses (request, approval, procurement, deployment, monitoring, and renewal).
• Maintain a license database with active, expired, renewals, and licenses scheduled for retirement.
• Review software contracts and licensing terms in collaboration with Procurement, IT, and Finance.
• Analyze software usage data to identify unused or oversized licenses and optimize costs.
• Define and monitor KPIs for licensing and renewals.
• Prepare analyses, management reports, dashboards, and recommendations to support decision-making.
