Optimus Search is seeking a freelance Automation Engineer fluent in Flemish to join a leading Automotive client in Antwerp. The role combines design, optimization and troubleshooting of automation systems using Siemens TIA Portal, PLCs, SCADA, Java, and FMEA, with a hybrid setup requiring 2 days on-site per week.

The 12-month contract may extend, and you will collaborate across engineering and operations to improve reliability and performance while applying robust failure-mode analyses.

Qualifications

• Proficient in PLC programming and automation
• Experience with SCADA integration and real-time monitoring
• FMEA methodology experience for risk identification and mitigation

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and optimize automation systems using Siemens TIA Portal.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs for industrial processes.
• Develop and maintain SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system reliability and performance.
• Apply FMEA to identify risks and optimize system designs.
