Job summary

Daikin Europe in the Ghent/Oostende region seeks a Structural Product Developer Engineer to advance heat pump, refrigeration, and HVACR product structures. You will design and validate full assemblies, select components, and ensure compliance with quality, safety and cost targets.

Travel between Ghent and Ostend teams is expected to collaborate effectively with Sales, Procurement, and Production. The role suits a mechanically minded engineer with a Master’s degree, strong initiative, and clear

Qualifications

Master’s degree in engineering (mechanical/electromechanics or similar).
Initiative and ownership of work in product development.
Team collaboration and problem solving in a technical setting.
Interest in HVACR technologies and sustainability goals, including Green Deal.
Organized, proactive with good time management and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Define mechanical specifications in line with sales requests, regulations and manufacturing constraints.
Develop mechanical design (part selection, assembly) with 3D designers to meet product specs.
Ensure compliance, verify via documentation, calculation or testing with Compliance.
Select tests, evaluate results and perform structural simulations.
Plan work autonomously while aligning with global EDC scheduling, liaising with Sales/Procurement/Production.
