Job summary

Stoïk is seeking an HR Operations Manager to oversee HR activities in Belgium and the Netherlands. You will report to the Head of People and collaborate with Country Managers and the Global HR team.

You will drive payroll, benefits, onboarding, and HRIS management, while benchmarking providers and policies to support Stoïk’s international growth.

Fluent in Dutch, French and English, with 3–5 years in a similar role, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.

• Expertise in Belgian and Dutch payroll and HR processes.
• Fluent in Dutch, French and English; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Payroll & Compliance: manage payroll for Belgium and the NL; ensure HR compliance.
• Standardize benefits policies and oversee onboarding/offboarding logistics.
• Be the primary payroll contact and ensure accurate records.
• Daily Operations: own the HRIS and manage social providers, benchmarking.
• Support employee HR inquiries and maintain strong country-manager relationships.
• Onboarding & Offboarding: lead pre-onboarding and provide HR guidance during offboarding.

About the role

We are currently looking for an HR Operations Manager to oversee the Stoïk community in Belgium and the Netherlands. You will have a key role at Stoïk, working closely with the two local teams, reporting to the Head of People, and collaborating with the two Country Managers and the Global HR team. You will also work closely with the Finance and Events teams.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll & Compliance

• Manage payroll for Belgium and the Netherlands, ensuring full HR compliance.

• Standardize benefits policies where possible, e.g. company cars, administrative onboarding/offboarding, and perks.

• Act as the key contact for all payroll-related matters.

Daily Operations

• Act as the key user of the HRIS.

• Manage relationships with all relevant social providers, including health insurance, pension, car rental, and phone providers.

• Ensure the best providers and policies through continuous benchmarking and monitoring.

• Answer employee HR questions and handle day-to-day HR topics.

• Build trusted relationships with Country Managers, employees, and managers to support well-being at Stoïk.

Onboarding & Offboarding

• Manage the administrative pre-onboarding process.

• Provide HR and legal guidance to managers during offboarding.

• Support departing employees closely and manage the administrative offboarding process.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.

• Skills in Belgian and Dutch payroll and HR operations, with the ambition to become an expert.

• Fluent in Dutch, French, and English.

• Excellent organizational and coordination skills, strong attention to detail, and a high sense of quality.

• Curious, proactive, adaptable, a good listener, and highly organized.

• Comfortable working autonomously.
